Welcome to DaytripCincinnati. Our names are Oz and Mo, and we'll be your tourguides for some really great driving adventures. Our real names are Scott and Melissa but all of our friends call us Oz and Mo, so you should too.

I guess it's safe to say that we're active, outdoorsy types, and we also have an interest in the history and culture of this part of the Midwest that we call home.

About a year ago we decided that we wanted to learn more about The Web. The best way to learn is by doing, so we picked something that we love to do (Daytripping!) and set out to create a website "dedicated to the thrill of the open road". We're really happy with the results and hope you are too.

We wanted our website to be FREE to everyone and we look forward to growing an online community of Daytrippers. You'll never see a pop-up ad on our site and we'll always respect your privacy. You will notice some ads on our site. While we're not looking to get rich off of DaytripCincinnati, there are some expenses that we'd like to try to balance. On each of our main website pages we will provide one free advertisement and link to an appropriate organization or non-profit. Please patronize our sponsors, and let them know that you saw them on DaytripCincinnati.

We've been taking frequent daytrips for years, found the experience to be immensely rewarding on many levels, and would like to share this with all of you. We do take "real vacations", and those have tended to be to National Parks and include a mix of hotels, camping, and driving. The exception has been a handful of trips to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and even then we would take a couple of days to go out and explore Louisiana.

For hardworking cityfolk like us, we believe that there's nothing more refreshing and relaxing than a nice drive in the country. The comfort of your car, your favorite music, a well stocked picnic basket, and the open road: It's a winning combination.

A Daytrip will be a treat for your senses. The beautiful sights, the scent of country air, the sounds of babbling brooks and songbirds. It's a truly pleasant feeling that this combination of such simple things seem so fulfilling when you get home. We've taken 4 hour Daytrips and at the end of the day it felt as though we'd been gone all weekend.

To be clear, we like Daytrips because we think driving is fun. And it's a hundred times better on really cool backroads. But beyond that, we also have gained an appreciation of rural culture, the cycle of the seasons, and local history. A year-round Daytripper will see fallow fields become corridors of corn. You'll use all of your senses as red oaks and sugar maples go from bare, to full, to bursting with fall color. You may even make a new friend at a small town festival, hiking a trail, or just down at the corner store.

RELAX AND ENJOY THE DRIVE!
